Approach to medications
Our prescribing practices include using the minimal effective dose of medications, reducing the number of medications one takes and limiting the use of controlled substances. We aim to use minimal amounts of medication, for the shortest amount of time possible, with a focus on safely discontinuing and tapering medications when able.
Communication and phone calls
Our preferred mode of communication is by email first at email@example.com, or via the Spruce patient app which is secure and allows you to send messages to the office. We will return current patients emails and phone calls within 48 business hours. All emails, messages are HIPPA compliant.
In the case of an emergency, such as thoughts of harming yourself or others, please call 911 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room. You may also call the national suicide prevention lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255), which is a confidential hotline staffed by trained mental health counselors 24 hours per day, 7 days per week
